Q: What are the technical specifications of your CNC lathes?

Our CNC lathes offer a maximum turning diameter of up to 530 mm and a length of up to 1,500 mm. The DN Solutions PUMA GT3100LM lathe reaches a spindle speed of 2,800 rpm with 26 kW of power, while the DN Solutions LYNX 2100LYA delivers 6,000 rpm with a Y-axis for turning-milling operations. Machining accuracy reaches ±0.01 mm.

Q: What is CNC turning and how does the process work?

CNC turning is an advanced machining process in which the workpiece rotates on a spindle while the cutting tool shapes it with precision. The process covers CAD model design, G-code programming, machine setup, machining, and quality control. At MDP Precision, every stage is subject to strict supervision.

Q: Is grinding a separate service or part of the machining process?

We offer grinding both as a stand-alone service and as a stage of comprehensive CNC machining. Thanks to carrying out the entire process — from machining through grinding to protective coatings — under one roof, we eliminate logistics between subcontractors and shorten lead times.

Q: When is grinding necessary after CNC machining?

Grinding is used when CNC machining does not provide the required roughness or dimensional accuracy — e.g. with tolerances below 0.01 mm, requirements concerning the smoothness of sealing or mating surfaces, and for parts requiring resistance to abrasive wear.

Q: What are the maximum dimensions of parts for grinding?

The magnetic table of the grinder has dimensions of 500 x 200 mm. For parts requiring grinding of larger dimensions — contact us to discuss implementation possibilities and possible alternative solutions.
